Mexican cuisine has managed to capture the hearts of appetites and cultures and all over the world, spreading its tales of fresh jalapeños, crisp corn tacos and delicious tortillas to the masses. A world away from its original homeland in Mexico, this popular cuisine has proudly taken up residence on Stanley Street Plaza. A Mexican-style bar and restaurant, the decor of the space celebrates the traditional aspects of Mexican flavours, starting with an impressive wall of tequila lining the bar and the vibrant paintings that adorn walls. The Cactus Republic kitchen believes in fresh and flavoursome ingredients, and crafts authentic salsa recipes, burritos, tacos, quesadillas, nachos and traditional salads, which have been developed in consultation with two native Mexican chefs.
